*Well, not really. I've been making my own costumes (with a LOT of my mom's help) since I was very young. But this is the first one that wasn't for halloween or a party.

This was.. wow. Props to anyone who can actually figure out who I was supposed to be. It was my first time sewing anything that wasnt by hand, and I was very proud of that. But it was a trainwreck.

Granted, I was fat, short, 15 years old, and was at the con alone. It was also my first con.

I did my first cosplay (and also my first convention and first time sewing..) at Sakuracon. I definitely learned a lot, but there are a lot of things I could do better. (Also, it didn't turn out well on my camera, but the mini hakkero lights up.)

You were Marisa right? I saw you there! I didn't get a close look or anything, but I think one thing I can suggest is giving your hat a little more body. I liked the rest of the dress though. It had a nice shape and looked really neat.

Alice needs to work on her shoes, haha.

You're welcome. Haha, yeah. It was either derpy face, or not enough of the costume showing, or too blurry like this one). That one showed off the best.

It looks like your wig could use some more body as well. That's the portrait from SWR, and if you take a look at the sprites you can see just how big the hat is:

It's about the width of the skirt, and almost as high. It probably doesn't need to be quiet that big, but some stuffing might help.
