Since all the sewing experts are here I wanted to ask for advice.

I want to make a bracelet like this only out of fabric instead of candy wrappers so I could wear it and not look like a 12 year old girl.

I was thinking if I cut the fabric into the same size as the wrappers and then maybe used starch to stiffen them up I could fold them. Then sew it together and wash out the starch.

Anyone have a comment on that?
