I'm 18 now and would like to go to one before I end up looking like "that creepy old guy".

I also don't have anyone to go with (none of my friends like anime) but I'm guessing I can fond a way around that somehow.

Minamicon is actually the best. It just sells out in about 10 minutes so everyone bitches it's elitist.

Kita is good and up and coming. Aya and Ame know what they're doing.

Expo isn't good as an event but it's by far the biggest of any of these and will have the best cosplays because of ease of transport, exposure and sheer numbers. Obviously that means it also has the highest concentration of crap and morons.

LAC, Fushicon, Alcon = all shit.

And OP that flag is annoyingly inaccurate.

Fushi has almost the same commitee as Fuyu did, and last Fuyu was a terrible flop. I was going to give them a chance, but then their presentation during Kita's ending ceremony was the most unprofessional thing I've ever seen and I was completely put off.

FushiCon will only be worth going to if you have lots of friends who will also be there, because the event itself will be lacklustre at best.

All the cons are like that. They're pretty shit but you have a good time because you're with mates. Let's face it, most of the events that aren't outside professionals brought in (voice actors for example) are fucking terrible and wouldn't impress 10 year olds.

Pretty much all the cons are 18+, some 16+ with special badges. 14 year olds can only go to Expo and Tokonatsu.

OP, it depends on what you want from a con.

If you want plenty about Japanese culture but also want to be able to socialise easily, then go for Minamicon. If you want lots of parties, I hear Kitacon is good. If you want a big event with a wide variety of things to do, go for whichever big summer con is running (Ayacon and Amecon alternate years). If you want a glorified dealers room then try London Expo. And if you want to burn some money but have an aversion to fire somehow, then there's always Alcon.

Thinking about going to Fushicon, never when to Fuyucon, allway going to fail when your dates are the same as london expo what was the con like

ps dont go to lac or alcon both carp events and stay away from mike towers alltoghet.
