Marriage, having children and any life long commitment should not be put on a rushed order. Doing so is basically setting yourself up for failure and misery.
He can get married all he wants, but he should try finding someone he can live with through thick and thin before popping the question.
I've been in a relationship for 2.5 years and I still don't really feel like marriage is the best option right now. We both have emotional issues we need to work out before we can fully commit to each other. Maybe we'll decide marriage is a good thing by next year, maybe we'll be together for 5 years then go our separate ways, I don't know the future.
