I am a regular con-goer, but have a hard time actually cosplaying who I want. It used to be about the adventure of creating a costume, and having fun dressing up; Now its all a competition. An unspoken contest between cosplayers, who can have the best-made/most-accurate cosplay. I hate it. :(
Not to mention I'm always paranoid that I'm going to find a picture of me here one day amongst the other pointless con dramu. I have an unfinished Stocking cosplay - amung other things - that I'm pretty much giving up on because of all the ruthless PSG cosplay judgement that goes on here.
What happened to the fun aspect of cosplay? Why can't we all just have fun with it without ripping eachother apart? :'(
