I was commissioned by a theater putting on a production of Mulan Jr. to make Mulan's match maker dress (pic related) as they wanted a cosplay type costume that would lok just like the movies. I was happy to agree as this theater often rents out their costumes to other theaters and this dress could get my name out there.
But today I got the fabric they ordered and its all wrong, despite me telling them what types of fabric I wanted and the colors I needed. Its satin instead of cotton and sheers, and every bolt of fabric is a different color than what is used in her dress.
Its too late for me to back out, what should I do? Use fabric that is all wrong and have this terrible dress associated with my name as a costumer, or buy fabric with money from my own pocket?
Tl;dr Have to make a dress, fabric provided is all worng, can't back out. Wat do?
