I need some wig advice. I want to cosplay as a human Knuckles and I want a red dreadlocks wig but I'm not sure where to start. I've already tried buying a black one and colouring it, but everything I use just slides off since it's synthetic.

I found this wig for sale on a person's cosplay.com page, but they won't respond to my comments, PMs or emails. I need the wig for the May London Expo and this person is from the US, it'll take a month just for it to get through customs.

I had an idea of maybe making dreads out of a long red wig, would that work?
