I'm thinking of selling some (not exactly lolita but of similar aesthetics.) hand made wears on etsy. I'm not a professional, and some of my items are a wee bit flawed. I'm afraid that even if I price my things fairly according to my skill (about 15-30$ per item) people are still going to treat me like I'm some kind of scammer. I'm not trying to make a brand, I'm trying to maybe make a few bucks and clear out my fabric stash. Is this just a bad move? I'm not trying to be good or act like I'm hot shit, I just want to make clothes I'd never wear myself but find pretty enough to sell to others at low prices.

You could work on those flaws you mentioned and you would be a model person, not at all like PZ, who doesn't seem to learn or take criticism. If it really worries you though.. there are other projects that could deplete your fabric reserves and still earn you some monies.

I've gotten skirts down really well, as well basic headbows and bloomers. I also make tote bags fairly well. I've made a few jumper skirts and dresses but I don't have selling confidence with them. I hoard fabric like it's nobody's business, so just making lots of small things wouldn't be an efficient way to burn out my fabric hoarding habits.
