CGL, would you approve of a lolita-inspired prom dress?

I don't have enough money to buy a shitty satin dress from Windsor, but I can spare enough to make a nice one of my own. I'm a decent seamstress with my own machine blahblahblah and my deadline is about 28 days from now. Anycase, I hate Windsor dresses.

I think I can do it. I just want to make it in ivory. I'm sorry about the shitty cellphone picture. It's pretty obvious that it's by that one Mary Magdelene dress, but I can never remember the name of it.

Because it's a formal event, I was thinking of a nice silk with some weight for the main body and the faux-underskirt below could be a matching chiffon. A chiffon eyelet-lace fabric would be great if I could find it.

Could I have your opinions?
