I had a friend who had white scars, too. Upper arms, not the wrists. Nowadays she's married, a mum, and really happy. If people ask, she tells them the truth, and that she's really glad she stopped because then she'd miss out on her gorgeous daughter and husband.

OP-Anon, I'm so sorry you're hurting. I hate to be a broken record, but please do try and talk to someone. If it doesn't seem like a good fit, try someone else. Never stop chasing hope.
