>>2780220Well, I wouldn't have called her a bitch, whether to her face or on an anonymous board about cooking. But I would have pointed it out, like I did in the first place, because it's something I see. I also see plenty of examples of sexism towards women and all diferent races, which I won't point out because many of them have already been pointed out in this thread already, and I can freely admit that I benefit from certain privileges and traditions. But, as I alluded to in
>>2780160everyone has a different set of expectations and limitations they're burdened with just because of the identity they were born with.
Using the club example, hell, I don't *have* to frequent those clubs. I could drag my friends somewhere else with no cover charge where they let everyone in at once, but the club owner who sets policies (and, yes, is probably male) knows that men like me will probably be willing to stand in the rain and fork over a 10$ because that's what's expected of them in this area of the city at this time of night. So yeah, I go with the flow, enjoy my privileges and let my lady friends enjoy theirs, because I'd look stupid standing in line at a club stamping my feet and shouting- "It's not faaaaiiiir!" Cowardice that may be, or maybe I just don't give enough of a shit after a hard week's work to stir up trouble on behalf of either sex or one of several hundred races.
