Because it's symbolic to radical Islamists too. Al Qaeda's recruitment has been in steady decline since about 2007, and I think this will hurt them even more. Basically, If you think this ends the Islamic terrorism you are an idiot, if you think this will have no effect at all, you're closer to right but probably still underestimating the effect Bin Laden had as a unifying force for radical Sunni Islam.
I won't be shocked to see a minor surge in terrorist attacks in Afghanistan, Iraq and any other unstable areas though. Just some revenge killings.
