Neapolitans and greeks make roulades of beef stuffed with raisins (or sultanas), garlic, parsley, pine nuts and parmesan and stew them either in tomato sauce or wine and beef stock, this latter version being more common in Greece and the former more common in Naples, though both places make both versions.
Persians do a delicious pilaf of carrots, raisins or sultanas and tender beef with onions and a tad bit of sugar for extra sweetness. Persians also make a dish very similar to the above-described roulade, but I'm not sure of its composition besides the raisins and beef wrapped around them.
I had no idea that the Anglosphere also combined dried grapes with fresh beef. It sounds lovely.
