Who needs a recipe from their grandma? I'm poring through what was one of the early american pre-James Beard cookbooks in existence. Recipes collected from the 1850s to 1930s and compiled in chapters that were published in the 1940s and 50s...such as "Pennsylvania Dutch" and "Mississippi Valley."
My favorite so far is "Creole" and "New England."
