Anyone got any awkward stories about eating at other people's houses?
I was going to post this as a response to someone else's thread, but then I thought about it and it was slightly deviating from the topic.
Anyway, so here's mine:
>Boyfriend and his dad love meat, pasta and potatoes.
>Been with boyfriend for 3 years. During first 2, was a pescetarian.
>Go over to theirs for dinner during the first month of our relationship.
>Not a massively picky eater. Just didn't eat meat. Loved all other kinds of food, but wasn't a massive fan of mashed potato or pasta, unless cooked in a sauce (like Green Thai Curry is one of my favourites).
>At home, normally eat dinner at around 8.
>Gets to 9. Stomach grumbling.
>10. Stomach eating itself.
>11 - 'Oh, is it that time already! Guess I'd better start cooking dinner!'
>Half an hour later, dad calls through, 'Dinner is ready!'
>Boyfriend and I go through to kitchen.
