The equation for a person suffering from this would be the same as for anyone else. BMR + Activity > Caloric intake = weight loss. BMR can be improved through muscle growth, and proper scheduling of meals to prevent your body from going into a fasting state. Yes the latter is under further study, as exercise is currently the only PROVEN way to increase BMR.
And if you're a nutritionist extolling the virtues of fried chicken, you are a fucking shitty nutritionist.
There are many foods out there that are NOT healthy, even in moderation. Physical well being comes down to making small choices throughout your day. Do you eat a Grilled chicken sandwich, prepared at home from a trusted butcher, or do you eat bacon and cheese sandwiched between 2 pieced of deep fried chicken coated in 11 herbs and MSG?
You can argue this all you want, but I'm going to call bullshit every time you defend food that is prepared with fatass american tastebuds and longer shelf life in mind.
