Not to sound racist here, but I encounter this in a lot of asian style restaurants. It seems they have a very different definition of what a vegetable is. Pork seems to be their favorite vegetable.

Fuck, you think i would know by now. When we first started dating i did something similar(just a tiny bit less upscale as my money when dating her was tight), and she embarrassed the fuck out of me. Ordered quaill from the menu and then gave a lil squeal when it arrived. She had no idea what it was, and couldn't eat it because it was "too cute". Then put sugar in her champagne later on...

I love her...but high class dining/etiquette with her is a huge fucking no-no.

Oh that was a while back. Maybe 7 or so years now. We had just started dating, been like 6 or so months so i took her someplace nice.
She said she knew it was a bird, had never had it before, and then i guess saw it and didnt want it.
She had a sheltered life before i met her in college. And she could burn boiling water when i first met her.
Still love her, just have learned my lesson on fancy dining with her.

There are people that don't know eggs come from chickens or that bacon comes from pigs. Hell, there are people that think the only edible animals are cows, chickens, pigs and turkeys and are wholly taken aback and/or disgusted by someone eating duck, deer or bear.
It's wouldn't surprise me if many adults have no idea what a quail is.

I learned this when i was young. Some of the local joints you can gain alot by asking for extra cheese. As far as the chains go, I notice you get more cheese when you don't ask for extra cheese. It seem asking for extra cheese makes the tards behind counter actually pay attention to the cheese amount as opposed to the normal zombied out not giving a fuck just putting cheese on this bitch routine.
