But seriously the only crab I eat is imitation or canned crab meat, who the hell would buy live crab to go?

Isn't it a bother to crack and open and eat? Does not seem like fast food at all

The Chinese only eat their food if it's been killed fresh. Or they used to anyways. You walk into a Chinese restaurant, and all the fish are and crustaceans are all floating around in tanks. They're caught live, then freshly killed.

Same thing with chickens and the like, or so it used to be. It's why KFC didn't catch on at first, since chickens were something with feathers that had to have their heads chopped off, not the shapeless patties that KFC uses. Of course, nowadays, nobody gives as many shits as they used to. The old ways are dying.

I'm no vegie but I am sometimes vaguely troubled by the moral implications of eating animals, even fish. I feel that everything has an equal right t0 life (there being no g0d to assign superiority/ primacy) and that we ought to show at least some respect/ sense of indebtidness or gratitude for those fellow living things we consume.

I particularly object to food that is killed too young or cooked "cruelly". Lamb- playful, happy little things- killed and cooked whilst babies because they taste better; lobster, boiled alive and for the same reason. Imagine babies killed by some foreign race because they are more tender, or adults being baked alive because it enhances their flavour.
