This is gonna sound like a troll, i know, so sorry in advance. I finally got a pot big enough to cook chili in, but I'm totally bewildered by the number of different recipes on the net. Would anyone be so kind as to link me their favorite? Pic is me when I don't know how to make chili.

Ground beef, several big handfulls
Tinned chopped tomatoes x2
Mushrooms, couple of small handfulls
Red Kidney Beans, coupl of small handfulls
Onions, 2 large
Sweet Peppers, 1 or 2
Chilli powder, garlic, rosemary, cumin, corriander, salt and pepper, L&P sauce...all to your own taste.
Few glasses of red wine.

Throw onion in pan, cook for a few mins. Throw meat in, brown. Throw in everything else. Stir occasionally. Let simmer for an hour or more.

Serve on any carb with cheese. Takes like 15mins to prep and get to the simmering stage, so epic easy for a shit load of food [assuming you buy pre-soaked i.e tinned beans].

GONNA NEED
2lbs of ground beef
2 cans of kidney beans
2 cans of diced tomatoes
some fucking V8 juice (not needed but helpful)
chili powder (get some of it at your grocery store.
depending on the size of the chili get an onion or two.

brown the meat, drain it.
chop up some of dat onion. brown it.
add the beans and tomatoes.
add some fuckin V8 juice to taste. I normally add enough to cover the mix if the juices from the canned shit doesnt.

Ground Beef
Chili Powder
Cayenne Powder
Tomato paste
Canned tomatoes
Can of minced green chilies
One Beer
Handful of corn chips
One dried chipotle pepper
One dried bay leaf
Salt/Pepper/add hot sauce to taste.

Put it all in a pot and cook. Take the chipotle pepper and bay leaf out when you serve it. I didn't give proportions because it's pretty much up to you. You could add it all and be good, or reduce/up anything within reason and it'll be fine.

1lb ground beef or bottom round cut into small cubes
1 28 oz can tomato sauce
8 oz beef stock
8 oz water or beer
1 medium onion chopped
3 garlic cloves chopped
1t cumin
1t paprika
1.5 tsp coriander
1 tsp oregano
1 oz dark chocolate grated
fresh chilis, chili powder, or cayenne powder to taste

brown the meat, sautee the garlic and onions, and deglaze with beef stock. add the rest of the ingredients and simmer until thick or meat is tender. add 2 t flour 20 minutes before eating if you like it thicker.

oh and 1 cup dried red kidney beans, soaked overnight then simmered seperately until soft and added to the chili. i don't really like canned beans, dry is cheaper, and you have to cook them seperately because beans won't cook in tomato sauce.

Making venison chili today. Was fishing all day yesterday so couldn't prep fresh beans from dry in time so must use canned. This is the fast prep method.

1 1/2 lb mule deer venison chuck roast (too tough for most anything else but making burger) cut into 1" cubes and lightly salted and peppered.
1 large sweet onion, minced.
5 cloves fresh garlic, minced.
1 medium green bell pepper, diced.
1 jalapeno, minced with seeds
1 serrano, minced without seeds
1 large can crushed tomatoes
1-3 cups tomato juice, depending on how thick you like your chili.
2 16 oz cans chili beans.
4 T then 3 T olive oil.
3 T New Mexico chili powder.
1 t dried cumin
1 t dried Mexican oregano
