Has anybody ever tried selling cotton candy? I volunteered at a circus today and the profitability of it seems huge. You make about $1.85 per $2 bag if there's 2 oz of cotton candy in each, so paying off a $600 machine would be accomplished in no time if you went to a fairground. The guy I was helping said he paid off his personal machine in just two days at a fair. The flossine is $12 or so a pound, and the stuff lasts forever, so its costs are negligable. I'm seriously considering getting one and selling "gourmet cotton candy" - see, if I had a bunch of different flavors instead of just blue and red, people would be willing to pay a little higher since they would think grape and pina colada cotton candy was rare. Little do they know, it's as easy to get as blue and pink.
