There are about as many skinny diabetics as there are fat asses with "glandular problems" that made them fat.

IE, it happens, but it's really not common at all. I work in a hospital, I have seen thousands of diabetics so far in my career and I've only been working there for 3 years. I have not met a single normal weight or thin diabetic, they've ALL been fat lards with a boatload of excuses about why it's not their fault that they're fat and diabetic.

For every person who is skinny with diabetes, probably 20,000 are obese with diabetes.

Not everyone who is diabetic is diabetic because they eat too much cake. Type 1 diabetics are typically thin because they're usually diagnosed as children or adolescents, and have been monitoring their sugar intake for years. And any diabetic who could be described as a "girl" rather than "middle aged woman" would almost certainly be type 1.

Lolyes. The majority of type 1 diabetics will develop diabetes in childhood or adolescence. The majority of type 2 diabetics will develop diabetes in mid-life and beyond, because it's strongly linked to lifestyle factors that usually take years to affect insulin production.

You CAN get people who suddenly develop type 1 at forty, and obese kids who manage to eat their way into type 2 at 20, but it's not common and it's correct to say that most diabetic teenage/early 20s girls will be type 1.

True veganism is a much more holistic practice than people think. In my experience (15 years as a strict vegan) I have found that you can't be a vegan if you do ANY of the following things:

1. Drive a car (cruelly cuts short the lives of thousands of insects in the most violent way possible, plus the chance of killing an innocent mammal is just too high).
2. Fly in airplanes (ditto)
3. Wear commercially manufactured clothes, unless you can certify that growing the fabric from which your clothes were made did not result in the displacement of any animal habitat, and that it was grown without insecticides, which lead to horribly painful deaths for insects and poison the ecosystem for larger animals.
4. Live in a house, unless you can prove that when the trees used in your house were harvested, it did not lead (directly or indirectly) to the deaths of any birds, small mammals, or of course, insects. You must also ascertain that the land on which your house was built did not provide a habitat for animals either.
5. Spray for termites or any other living, breathing animal-- a most barbaric practice.
6. Own a pet that may either eats an animal-based diet, or may kill another animal, even an insect or plankton. Yes, it's true that in the animal world, on occasion, animals may kill each other, but we as fully conscious human beings must not knowingly perpetuate this barbaric practice by encouraging it in our pets. >CONT.

Okay now some gray areas:
As far as I'm concerned, even riding a bike is suspect. You must be VERY careful not to ride over any insects. You see, I have a psychological impairment that does not allow me to differentiate between animals as food and humans. You know how pets like cats and dogs are bread with certain characteristics to make them more appealing to humans, well its like that except I am attracted to, I mean I feel for all the worlds animals.

I am educated (obviously as a vegan more educated than you) and believe in evolution. The traits that humans exhibit such as, poor ability to digest plant matter (I do fart too much and my breath wreaks), omnivore digestion system and lactose tolerance past adolescence are things I don't understand because its just carnivore propaganda that everyone just calls proven facts.

I, being so in tune with nature, only eat organic. Even though organic food means nothing, I choose to believe it makes me better. The food I eat is so natural, even though I must eat lots of heavily processed foods (like soy) fortified with nutrients (mostly made from the byproducts of bacteria one would never eat) I can't get just from plant life. And because it is not possible to maintain my health using only local plants, the extra carbon created by all the hauling of foods from around the world to me is offset by how awesome I am.

I am vegan, and although my diet isn't healthy or sustainable, I am better than you.
