I use country-style(boneless)pork ribs.
Place ribs in a pot or bowl and add Dr Pepper to cover. (Usually 1 or 2 liters) Add 1/2 cup liquid smoke, one diced onion, minced garlic and chopped jalapenos. Let sit in fridge overnight. Go straight from the marinade to the grill.
