On the other hand, Lelouch is fiercely unapologetic and tends to place the blame on his own shoulders. Furthermore, Suzaku might not have cared for a formal confession. He sees through Lelouch and knows that he couldn't have possibly wanted the Euphie incident to turn out the way it did. Damn the details, they don't matter.
In any case, this is where I usually stop thinking about this, lest I go into a fit of fangirl rage over how little we know about their relationship by the time the last arc hit.
