>>1151308now im almost sure youre not gonna read it but, whatever, i still disagree.
The only sides who are discarded are the ones who appear on “side” episodes, wich are mainly psirene and the annoying automail thief. The others... rose, lyla, tucker, martel. unless you mean characters such as innkeepers, i just don know who youre talking about.
now the emo angst you mention. i just don't see it. Roy had a reaction on the battlefield and he remembers, but hes over it. ed killed his brother and sometimes people use it to affect him, but he eventually gets over it. the drama is only natural since the anime has darker tones. lets get the first chapter for example: whereas in the manga the priest fools rose about ressurecting her bf, in the anime he actually does a talking chimera which looks nothing less than bizarre and which tries to kill her while calling her name with her bf's voice. also, right on the first episodes, ed almost dies because of and almost kills a serial killer. he is 12. damn, Rose is raped. do you expect Ed to say "hey, comeon, ill buy you a coke so brigthen up"? he knows its his fault, he was used by the military, so he regrets it. thats not being emo, thats being human.
what i mean by cliche is: you don't have a guy with a god complex with a big evil plan: you have selfish people. you see what i mean? Dante's making wars not cuz shes crazy, but cause she wants to keep living. She couldnt care less bout wearing a greek tunic.
about central, unlike the manga, the action does not reach there but in brief breaks. it is the same as any war. Iraq has been bombing for some time now but people in turkey still go to work.
