This phrase said thrice by Doumeki left me thinking... perhaps he knows as much as Yuuko knows and the meaning of Watanuki's existence as to what would happen if he were to dissapear.

On the other hand, he said he decided to be with him on that rainy day which did not involve knowledge of the situation in Tsubasa ("I had no reason to concern myself with him") so this is quite a contradictory.

In a nutshell: I'm confused
