>>1171271I was initially weirded out by Hagu's loliness, but I came to appreciate her looks as being a very symbolic part of her character design. Hagu's frailty and stunted growth are a lot like her stunted social development. I'm ok with her never chosing someone because it's impossible to think of a character who just got used to having friends as being somebody who is ready for love. It's one of the realistic elements of the show that distinguishes it from the typical shoujo. The entire cast doesn't get paired up at the end (*cough* Furuba *cough*), and it's obvious that the characters still have a lot of growing to do.
