The spy shouldn't give two shits about who he kills on a daily basis. They're all mercenaries for hire and they love their jobs, especially when it's being payed to kill someone.
If you play the game or watch any of the movies, you can see that all of the classes have a strange work-only relationship and the only real thing that's making them work as a team is that they all have the same objective. They aren't gay, people just like to think they are because...well I guess they just get off to that.
The spy is a man of espionage, cunning, and more importantly, he has good taste in milfs. As for the scout, he's supposed to act like a hyper, smug little blight whose only interest is to boast about his over-exaggerated accomplishments. (Which I would be too because killing a heavy as a scout is o-so satisfying.)
All I'm saying is, if you're gonna make a fan fiction, stop putting yourself in it. I won't read that shit.
