The first in comics for me (I didn't read comics much until I got older) was in Point Blank.
To set the background, Tao had infiltrated the WildCATS team and, while 'helping' them was actually manipulating events so that people would be loyal to him, hostile and paranoid of each other, and allow all the chaos that might happen to happen. In the end he made Savant (Zealot's sister, kind of an Amazonian Oracle/Tomb Raider) fall in love with him. Enough so that, when they had figured out his deception, and the Grifter tried to kill him, she stepped in the way and took the shot while he escaped smoothly. Truly smoothly, as this was all in his plan (he was created by Alan Moore, and I view him as a sort of Wildstorm version of Ozymandias). Although he was 'killed' at the end, he let her know (and only her) that in fact he had survived.
Skipping ahead to Point Blank, and the Grifter is trying to look into the possibility that Tao may have survived as a favor to his friend Jack Lynch (Nick Fury), when he goes into a dark c-list criminal bar and sees Savant leaving, followed by some two-bit thug. He goes out to check and see if she's okay and she is being raped viciously over a car by the thug. The Grifter goes ahead and busts the guy up, pulling them apart and it's revealed that Savant does this now, Tao having so twisted her up that she does it as a way to kind of get his attention (she knows he's watching) and play out her own perverse humiliations.
NTR ftw.
