>>25562565Honestly, unless it's a premise that really drives and motivates you, don't worry about premise. Make it about something you know: a hardship in the life of you/someone close, a trial you've been through, something you really feel strongly about in general (basically entering deconstruction/satire territory). As long as the plot itself is something you care about, the setting doesn't mean a damn thing.
Go over things you talk about a lot, or things that make you angry. Any of those things will work.
