Ok, so preview for the next South Park is up.
Right now it's all about Jimmy presenting a comedy show and Germany getting offended.
Looking like it may be a typical terrorist, school hostage taking plot. Though it could easily change to incorporate recent events in the news.

With Bin Laden dead, the only question left is will the next episode of South Park be unattractive Americans invade Britain, the Royal Wedding or COW:Black Ops finishes off Osama Bin Laden? Between unattractive middle-aged women quitting their jobs, just to see people they don't even know and a spoof of the Bay of Pigs, lots of win could be had.

Token, Butters, Kenny, Stan, Kyle, Jimmy, Tweek, Craig, Mr. Garrison, Principal Victoria, Mr. Mackey, Mr. Adler, Timmy, Wendy, Bebe, Dogpoo, Francis, Red (maybe), that lead six-grader and Jason.
That preview image obviously includes Cartman.

I would not say in years, just that the seasons have not been much weaker than past years. There's still a few great episodes every season. The problem is that there's a lot of shit in there too. Season 13 was pretty damn good, from beginning to end. But last season, overall it was not very good. Not even half of the episodes were worth patching last season and the first episode of this season was disgusting. So years. No. But I guess it's cool to hate on anything these days.

It's not really about hating, but more that there's not really anything to be said about episodes. They're pretty self contained and the plots revolve around events or references everyone's talking about anyway, so why talk about them from the Southpark's prespective?

I think they’ve gotten better in some aspects and gotten worse in others. Certainly the animation is better and such, but the writing is subjective person to person... I think I liked Season 11, 12 and 13 (and half of 14) as much or more than any other season.

Maybe because they don't want to turn into another Simpsons. Maybe because poking fun at world events has made other programming such as the Daily Show & Colbert Report successful. gee, I don't know, why would they do that. *roll eyes*

They've been at it for 15 years, more than twice that of your average sitcom. The change from weird things happen in our little redneck town to weird things happen around the globe began around the 7 year mark, right where other shows completely burn out. Switching formats gave them a chance to stick around and overall, that change was for the better. Especially since it's the opposite direction the writers of The Simpsons went.

Actually, it's not an ongoing joke. The thing with Peter in pain for 40 seconds is an ongoing joke because it's the exact same animation that is used each and every time it happens.

The thing with South Park citizens fighting for their lives is just a simple plot that the writers reuse frequently and try to disguise by replacing the people who are taking over the town with something else.

But in a way it gives Mat and Trey an excuse to be lazy at times like the current topics episodes from last year, The Tiger Woods episode and The Nascar episode were terrible because of it but previous seasons like the Kanye West episode were hilarious because they didn't involve on incident but the person himself. I don't mind if South Park use currents events for humor but I don't want them to overtake the entirety of the episodes like Fun Time With Weapons which was entirely about the kids playing ninja with the Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction reference towards the end.

I agree completely. Remember that episode where Cartman got some huge inheritance from a dead relative and he used it to buy an amusement park? Kyle spends the whole episode crying and moping for no reason other than because Cartman got a lucky break.

I absolutely don't understand this plot. The school has an award show and Germany gets mad at them since they didn't win.

Maybe Jimmy makes fun of them, and they shoot up the school.

Last episode got a laugh out of me, so already this season is already better than the last two IMO.

Why does every episode have to have celebrity/pop-culture references now? I was laughing prtty hard at the way Cartman was talking to his mom in the last episode, until they went on Dr. Phil, then I just lost all interest and the joke was immediately not funny anymore. Maybe I'm just a cynic, but it seems like South Park is turning in to exactly what they were making fun of Family Guy for in the Cartoon Wars episode. Nothing but random pop-culture references. Not really any cutaway gags, but they're still pretty guilty of hypocrisy.

They changed them to british people in their version for two reasons. First the obvious dislike of being parodied like that (though they usualy let everything else pass) and second because nobody in germany get's the scat jokes because it's something the germans are pretty much unaware of.

Then Fukushima happens and they suddently call for a total removale of nuclear energy in germany asap and on the spot order the old powerplants to be removed from the net and phased out. Just a few years after they decleared those would be running for two more decades.

That's really fucking stupid. All they have to do is retrofit older nuclear power plants for usage of safer THORIUM. If the Fukushima plants were retrofitted, like they should have been, the disaster would be self contained because thorium reactors do not require a constant cooling process to prevent combustion. Unlike uranium fuel rods. It's also cheaper, remains radioactive for a significantly shorter period of time, harder to weaponize and there is a greater amount readily available.
