My father is schizophrenic, and so is my oldest sister. And let me tell you, beating people with a dead cat, taking bites out of a dead cat, hallucinating out the ass, and all that jazz is perfectly normal. Hell, my sister even attempted to eat broken glass when she was off her meds once.

Mainly because there are different kinds of schizophrenia, and of course, drugs can fuck shit up even worse.

My mom was schizophrenic and even during her worse episodes she attempted to hurt herself and others around her. She sometimes would walk out on her own covered in welts and sores or sit in the corner going on incoherent rants for a couple of seconds. BUT she never ever had the cliched "crazy" that's portrayed in a lot of popular media. Its more subdued and really pathetic and sad but never exaggerated in my personal experience.

Someone in DC thought that Red Arrow was overtaking Green Arrow in the popularity department so they decided to nerf him in Cry for Justice. They took Roy's arm and killed off his daughter after which they made Ollie go off and murder the man behind it.

P.S.
It was actually going to be worse than what I just said because they was originally supposed to wipe out every fictional city in DC beside Gotham and Metropolis but that got shot down.
