We see that the billboards have a something like NEW [product name here] FROM INTER-CORP COMING [today's date] written on them and the next panel is a grand unveiling of that product.
We see InterNet having a speech and just as he raises his hand to reveal the product suddenly a voice sreams
NOT SO FAST INTERNET, I'M ABOUT TO CRASH YOUR SERVER
A RED PHONE RECEIVER flies out of nowhere and catches his wrist (the wire rolls around, the receiver acts as a weight)
We see THE PHONE RANGER
Phone related puns ensue, like LEAVE YOUR NUMBER AFTER THE PUNCH AND DIAL 2 FOR A BEATING
now at this point we all think this is it the main bad and good guy right here, but then a couple of smartly dressed security guards lightly restrain the "Phone Ranger", calm him down and show him what the new product does and how it makes life better for everyone.
The crowds cheer, the product sells.
BUT
It was actually all a play to make the media loving citizens that always had a hard time letting go of the old technology that this is necessary, a good thing and that InterNet cares, respects it.
Phone Ranger is some hired guy in a costume made to look even more ridiculous than the original (we could say Phone Ranger used to be an old superhero before the wireless technology but has now become obsolete and doesn't fight crime anymore. The public still loves him, but they are starting to pity him a little)
