>>28468255I actually REALLY liked it. It's kinda awkward at first, both in voices and in animation, but it gets a helluva lot better when the action starts. Also, it's peppered with word-by-word adaptations of the original strips that again, are awkward at first, but after a while fit very nicely with the rest of the movie.
What really strikes me is how much a labor of love it must've been. People who know nothing about Boogie would hate it for being violent and mysoginistic, people who love Boogie pretty much hated it from the start because of the voices, and to top it all off it's an animated movie that's not for kids.
There's simply no fucking way that anyone making this movie was deluded enough to think they'd cash in a profit. That kind of dedication... it deserves my money. It EARNED my money.
