Last thread I posted my wishlist and someone bought me a preppy fountainpen and apparently a copy of Infinite Kung Fu. I was having a real shitty day today. Woke up feeling like shit. Some Pg and E guys came over to fix the heater and accidentally dropped my computer monitor while moving my table to get to the heater. Just went through my day just not feeling good, behind on college work, all kinds of shit. I was just feeling depressed and I got home, checked the mail and found out someone bought me something off Amazon. Really cheered me up, just the thought of some random guy I didn't even know buying me something off the internet, thought that was really cool. I just want to say thanks.

My logic is as follows:
Movies: If i really enjoyed it, i will buy it to suport it
TV shows: if i really like it i will watch it on tv when i remember, if it is on a premiuim channel fuck it.
Music: If i like it i will try and see them in concert. if i rally like it i will try and get it on vinyl (because it is nicer looking and sounding than cd)
Comics: If i like it i will buy it no questions asked. If i enjoy it i will just download it. Than i go to comic con every year and spend to much money.

And even if I get nothing, oh well, but are there any particular comics on that list that I should check out as soon as I can? I'm going to buy some new trades along with my pull list when I get paid next week (and hopefully something for another anon), so I'm up for anything.
Just got back into comics last summer, and I'm excited to read more (spring semester is almost over!).

If you want something earlier try Geoff Johns work. I believe there's an omnibus of it floating around.

>>35664045 All Star Superman is in a league of its own. As a /lit/ bro Asterious Polyp would definitely be to your tastes. Killing Joke is great, of course.
To be honest of all the books I recognise on your list they're all pretty top notch. Except Bendis's New Avengers, that's... an acquired taste. And Futurama comics is hugely out of place, if you're after quality. I didn't know people read those!

I remember getting some comics for a few lucky /co/mrades during Christmas. It's pretty nice to do stuff like this every once in awhile. Let's see if today is my lucky day. 15WUANG174652

>>35664177 I've heard! A hardcover deluxe edition of All-Star Superman was the Deal of the Day at TFAW the other day, but it was still around $70. It looked awesome though.
I have not heard one bad thing about Asterious Polyp, so I may have to look into getting that next.
I've read The Killing Joke, but don't have a copy. Hmm. Maybe I'll take that off.
I've never read an Avengers comic before, and I saw someone rec it once, so I just added it to the list. Better to just read that online? And yeah, I remember reading a Futurama comic back when I was a lot younger and enjoying it, so I was like "why the hell not" and added it ha.

>>35664028 >>35664007 Alright, thanks. I don't really know anything about him, I had just heard it was a good read. Guess I'll just stick to Blackest Night for now. I've read the collection for the base story, hoping to eventually catch up on all the other ones.
>>35664177 How is All Star Superman? That's one of the few things in my list that's not Green Lantern related, and I've never really read any Superman. I've only heard good things about it.

Wow, this thread's still going? I'm impressed.

>>35664316 Yeah, I'd love to say there are better Avengers comics, but... honestly it's just the least terrible Avengers run. Bendis is known for his soap opera writing style, and New Avengers is why. Better for a pirated binge read than a collection that you'd put on your shelf.
>>35664428 All Star Superman is a modern classic. Morrison hit it out of the ball park with that one. Easily the best Superman story since Alan Moore.

It has all elements of what pretty much makes up Superman and I think is my favorite interpretation of the character.

Oh, we're past the bump limit. Did someone want to make a new one or should we leave it at this?

>>35664516 Meh. If that was the case, I would have posted my code again. Not the end of the world if I don't get anything. I'm genuinely impressed this thread is still going.
