1) Be the PC, which means she turns evil at some point. Unlikely since she's affected by Charm effects apparently, although possible.
2) Be one of the characters who accomplish what the PC "does" similar to the Warriors of Light in 8-bit Theater.
3) Die. Possibly be one of the random dead adventurers in a dungeon.
4) Become a bandit and be killed by an over zealous PC or guard by coercion or a misunderstanding even.
5) Live long enough (somehow) to be the insane Khajit thief from Skyrim. Before likely being killed by THAT PC.
Also, good work Kaz for making a character so likeable that people get buttredlantern over you doing things that are expected to happen to her.
Advancing the "they must defend themself" idea, Katia can somehow get Sigrid to attack someone. Somehow. Even if Katia screws it up, the "apologize" action in Oblivion is blocking then using your do all (pick up, press, talk to, etc.) action button which can be interpreted as going into the fetal position and trying to flail your arms to defend yourself or cowering and pleading for your life or various other things).
