>>40126073As for Lee, she put her self in a manger role. She's in charge of managing what little money, food , or supplies they have, and she personally make sure that they have what they need. If they need a new coat or something, she has three options. She can steal it, which is usually her go to plan, but it doesn't always work. She can barter with her neighbors by trading other goods or some house work, which is very difficult seeing as how they hate her mother and the mischief they cause, though they do pity them from time to time. He very last resort is begging. She hates begging, but if it comes down to it or her sisters being hungry or cold, she usually swallows her pride. She usually goes out at night, when her sisters are asleep, to beg either in the cul-de-sac or in the city regardless of what the weather is like. Her sisters know what she's doing because they usually find her asleep in the couch with what ever she could find, but don't mention anything because it'll hurt her pride. She's a bit resentful of her mother, mostly due to her stealing from them, and goes to great lengths to save what little money they have. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
For all of the arguing and bickering they do they are surprisingly close, and will go to great lengths to help one another. Their experience leaves them with a strong bond that lasts through out their lives.
And that's about it. It's a bit romanticized, but I like it.
