The dreams were getting stronger these days.
At first they were only the odd flash of fantasy after becoming Robin, him sneaking out at night to catch a glimpse of the Batman and Robin. Visions of meeting Dick Grayson as a child and being in the audience to witness the murder of his parents.
Nightmares of his parents' deaths and being adopted by Bruce long after he'd become Robin. There were many of these dreams, but all had centered around his time as a vigilante. He'd brushed it all off as some sick wish fulfillment of his subconscious and carried on.
Then the reports of metahumans started becoming less isolated, and the age of the superhero came into full swing. The dreams came back full force, but they showed him working, living, and having fun with men and women from all walks of life, but sharing tge same goal of protecting life and preserving justice. It was a clarion call for him, and as rumors of NOWHERE began to pervade his network of contacts, he took a more proactive stance.
At first Tim thought it would be fun, if not a little dangerous, this mission of his, but soon he discovered how much work it took to locate and protect these kids, and just how far NOWHERE was willing to go to grab ahold of these people.
The first metahuman he met was Danny, a boy whose powers had consumed him, turning him into a literal street. It took some time for Tim to realize his contacts hadn't been toying with him, but when the confusion had cleared, he'd recruited his first ally. Danny's powers allowed him to move anywhere as long as there was a surface to inpose himself onto. He was inobtrusive. And even if people knew what he was, it was near impossible to pin him down. He was the perfect agent.
