Otakon sucked ballz.

There was nothing to do but sleep. Almost all of the panels were fucking gay. The only ones worth going to were the Worst J-Rock videos and the Fan Parodies.

There were L cosplay everywhere, Death Note sucks. There were a bunch of newfags there too.

There was way more than enough Soul Eater cosplay. I saw a few Makas, at least 3 Shinigami-samas, a few Soul Eaters, and a million fucking Black Stars and Death The Kids.

This was the worst Otakon I have ever attended (5 of them). I hope the anime fad ends next year so I can have the wonderful Otakon experience I've been used to (drunk and laughing). There were way too many kids, the cosplayers were unimaginative... it wasn't the drunken anime-fangirl party I am used to.

I felt disappointed as well, since I had 2 slaves and a zombie follow me around as I cosplayed... not only was it hell trying to get across the street with all those fags trying to run you over "HEY! ANIME-FAGS MUST RUN OVER" when clearly the crossing sign was lit. I also hated the fact that the convention center- didn't have a hotel or the hotel wasn't the convention in itsself- walking to your hotel room with all those black people at night is intimidating. Also to note that nothing was really playing, no real panels I wanted to go to, and the maquerade was located 2 blocks away from the site. The only thing to go to was the Dealer's room and there wasn't much there. Everything starts around 9-10 o'clock and during that time I would have to sit around with useless slaves as I tried not to scream at all the Narutards and Deathfags everywhere-
I liked Katsucon better.

If you don't like the panels then watch some anime or something. Go see stuff at the inner harbor when there's nothing to do. If you're going with friends it's really hard to go to Otakon and have a bad time, though of course this is 4chan so friends, lulwut?

Yeah. I always laugh when people complain about Otakon because the panels suck. Guess what. The panels always suck. If panels are the reason you're going to a con then you're going to hate it. Anime cons are always first and foremost about anime. If you aren't there to have fun with friends, watch anime, enjoy seeing the cosplay, or buying anime shit, then you aren't going to have any fun at all. Those things are pretty much the entire point of anime conventions.

I had a blast (I've gone to 4-5 Otakons since 2002).

The major disappointment or me was a lack of cosplay from older shows such as Eva. I was hoping to see the SEELE guys come back or at least more than 1 plugsuit Rei. There is a shift within the anime fad itself and newer shows (with moe for example) are becoming all the rage. As a result the con felt as though it changed a little.

The panels are fucking important, you go there to learn and see some of the new anime that's coming out. Even thought all of it blew monkey dick. I had my friends with me and we all and a terrible time. So if its about being with you're friends and having fun don't you do that normally anyway. All you did was pay for it.

This Otakon sucked and for the people who enjoyed it so do you. Also there were tons of Mac fags at all of the panels.
