>>3515719I'm back, sorry for the wait.
Fenugreek: Sprout the seeds-- they have a greater concentration of active this way-- and eat them raw or steamed, or brew as a strong tea. In both cases, a bit of fennel-- no more than a teaspoon-- seed would supply a tidge more phytoestrogens and add a bit of flavor. (One cup of beans a day is more than enough, but more won't kill you.) Alfalfa is a close relative, and affects us much the same, so it may be taken in place of fenugreek, prepared in much the same way.
I take back what I said about saw palmetto, it seems that it would work after all, but it should be taken as a standardized extract, which would have its own dosage suggestion.
Wild yam, the source of some birth control pills, should be effective, but I only have information for external application. Peel the outer bark from the root and macerate the inner bark into a pulp, then apply as a salve to the breasts, though I might recommend applying it to the hips as well.
For clear skin and the flushing of any water-weight the above may cause, I would recommend 1 cup of tea brewed from a teaspoon each of dandelion root and red clover flowers-- well sweetened-- each day. Be sure to drink plenty of water though-- as contradictory as this may seem-- because the dandelion acts as a powerful diuretic.
Chasteberry is more likely to cause problems than have any benefit, so don't even bother with it.
Also, none of this, except perhaps the dandelion and red clover, should be taken by pregnant women. To do so would be to call certain doom upon your child.
