The younger crowd is always pushing for experience at a fast rate. Sometimes the results aren't pretty. Parents who reign in their charges before the ragged edge is reached are well remembered and often revered for their "courage" to do what they were supposed to do in the first place.
By the way, my children are all in college and have a healthy outlook on life. I honestly believe that they'll do well by themselves in the future as citizens of this vast wasteland created by Dr. Spock and other liberal dumb-asses that have lead this country to ruin.
