>>4218981In the English language, words mean different things. "Gay" means "happy" as well as "homosexual". Here, "TG" or "transgender" refers to anything that crosses traditional gender boundaries. So, in addition to the very few mentions of stories with actual gender identity issues, you'll also find in these threads images that depict gender transformation, crossdressing, opposite gender versions of characters, and sometimes futa and sissies.
Anime and manga with alternate gender themes (Ranma 1/2, I My Me Strawberry Eggs, Kashimashi, etc) have been referred to as "TG anime" or "TG manga" for a long time, though few of them deal with actual gender identity issues. It's the norm in the medium. Run a google search for "TG webcomic" and you'll get plenty. That's how the theme is labelled, whether or not it's accurate to the scientific use of the word "transgender."
Besides, if you think about it, anyone who suddenly experiences transformation from one gender to another probably has gender identity issues; either they were happy with what they were before and want back (so are the former gender trapped in the new sex), or they wanted the transformation (so were previously their new gender trapped in the old sex).
If you really want to mince words, "sex" is the state of being physically male or female, while "gender" is a mental state of being masculine, feminine, or some middleground thereof. So, unless the thread is about brainwashing, it's actually "sex transformation" not "gender transformation." But who's counting?
Point is, as a TG myself, seeing gender transformation art brings some measure of peace to my heart. So stop pissing on my lawn.
And yes, I realize I have been trolled. Whatever.
