Is something like this decent to wear from day to day (going to university) ? I'm looking for something rather laid back but still looking good.
I got some 514 levis which I almost always wear when its not too hot.

First of all, there's nothing wrong with a t-shirt and jeans unless you don't like wearing t-shirts or jeans.

In the second case, stop wearing clothes that you don't like and start wearing clothes you do like. We can't recommend clothes for you because we don't know who the fuck you are.

I maybe want to start to get some stuff new and see what I like. I was looking on here for a while and found a peacoat thread and that looks pretty good. But what for example would I wear under that ?

Instead of asking us, why don't you try it on? Peacoats are usually plain and navy, so it'll be harder to find something that clashes with it than something that doesn't. This way, you can see how the coat works with other clothing you like instead of us trying to guess what clothes you may end up liking.
