I was sent here.

Need to go on a date/formal dinner. I only have black and white T shirts (and one blue short sleeve T shirt with collar) and a bunch of jeans / sweatpants in my closet.

I was thinking of keeping jeans. I need to buy a shirt and some shoes. Help me up / dress me up. Cheers

-pic of torso is one i use on fit
-can't be bothered to take pictures of my shirts and remove exif data from all, they are just plain T shirts not suitable for dinner
- googled the jeans, pretty much the same as one i have, shoes too but those are negotiable

dude why ugly, i thought those were neat

You do know there are more ties out there other than the common silk and poly-blend ones.

You don't need to wear a tie though since its just a restaurant, but you will want to look a little more 'clean' and 'proper'. An ironed gingham plaid shirt, crisp dark jeans , with bluchers or chukkas could probably do the trick. Also a blazer would help if you feel that it's too casual.

Thanks a million. I google those and i finally get the idea what to wear.

Bluchers look uncomfortable. I'm not planing to wear a blazer on dinner but i just might buy if i find one i like.
