Hey guys, /fit/izen here.

There is no sticky thread to get the basics on /fa/.
Could someone direct me to where I can find good info on dressing /fa/shionably please.

I'm 18, live in the UK, look a bit like the picture attached. Just want the sort of Frank Yang/Zyzz look. You know, skinny jeans, tight fitting top and a fashionable haircut to make me look good, and to make me look like I have an even better hysique.

Any advice/links/info pics would be greatly appreciated.

Theyre all 5'8'' 125 lb little boys and/or girls. They dont know what its like to have a masculine body and try to fit into modern fashion. But i do.

As someone who also is quite built, our options are limited. My suggestion is to keep it simple. Skinny jeans are out of the question, simply because our thighs are actually larger than our calfs. Best way to go with pants is a straight/slim fit. Anyways, for everything else keep it semi-form fitting, but not too tight or youll look like a juicehead guido.

Remember when youre built like an actual man, simple and masculine clothes are your key to success.

True, however I can fit into skinny jeans and things. I'm pretty cut, so I don't have trouble fitting into too much. Zyzz manages to fit into skinny jeans, and so does Frank Yang.

I'm not bodybuilder mode yet. Although hopefully I will be in a decade or two.

Here's how to dress if you're fit but don't want to look gay.

1) Simple and masculine like a poster above said. You already draw attention to yourself with your physique and over-styling will make you look like a guido or a gay.
2) "Slim Straight" is the jeans you're looking for. Levi's 514's are the prototypical cut, but APC New Standards, Naked and Famous Slim Guys are also nice entry-level raw denim jeans. Don't get pre-distressed stuff, go raw (google raw denim to learn more)

4) As for button-down tops, it's really your call. Because nothing is going to fit off the rack, choose whatever you like, as long as it fits your shoulders. Once you have that, and pay a tailor to get them taken in at the sides so they follow the line of your V-Taper. Don't get t-shirts that are bro-ey tight if you want anybody to take you seriously. Abercrombie's "muscle fit" is the best bet off the Rack for /fit/ bros. They have some fairly decent flannels that go on sale all the time.
4b) As for the styling, you can really go in any direction. Find which solid colors compliment your skintone and just stock up on them. As for patterns, florals are in for spring '11, madras are always fun for summer, stripes are somewhat out, and plaid is fairly fall/winter. Because you're paying extra per shirt, go for quality over quantity. Provided you have an undershirt on (V-necks only, please) ou can usually get a 2-3 wears out of a button down before having to get it cleaned.
5) Outerwear is really your call. Since summer is coming up, there is no rush. I'd personally spend summer saving for a nice leather--Google "Temple of Jawnz", (they make custom leather jackets that are made to measure and are amazing...i own a moto and it's the favorite part of my wardrobe).

Also, being /fit/ and /fa/ will get you more pussy than either one singly. Because if you nail both your confidence level will be over 9000 and women WILL notice.

Fucking this, my jeans ride up at my calves all the time wtf is that.

Also I find that shirts either fit too loose on my midsection, or too tight in the chest shoulders, also being tall, sleeves are generally too fucking short.

By catering for the widest (lol) possible audience, most 'normal' sized clothes have bags of extra room to avoid being too tight for the overweight. God forbid we expect people to be a healthy size.

shirts = go buy a pack of white ck crewneck shirts, they are a great fit if your /fit/ - then jcrew and gap are ok for random shirts, look around and see whats going on online in blogs, look at photos you like and learn what colors you like. stay away from h&m buttondowns because they are shit and uo / topshop are hardly better

pants (poor = levi, med = cheap mondays, uo unbranded raws, medhi = apc/cheap mondays/nudies)

shoes
vans classics, zuricks, simples, sperrys if you like penis,

nana republic sometimes has decent belts for the price, get 1 brown and 1 black (minimum).

socks are black.
