Mid weight outerwear thread. I have a trucker jacket that is far too warm (fleece lining) so I want one more piece of mid-lightweight outerwear. I was thinking a bomber jacket. I like the one from the gap, but my size is out, and I think I can do better. So light outerwear dump, anybody?

You could also do a cotton M-65.

Type III's are cool, especially in a non-denim fabric if you can find it.

You could also look into techier stuff like Acronym and whatnot. I think a couple of the Nau jackets are pretty nice if you're into that sustainable stuff.

Mechanics Jackets are also a good choice. Less versatile than a harrington, but still a good choice. A properly cut riding jacket is also a good choice. It'll definitely be harder to find though.

>>3387449 This may be a silly question to ask, but is Alpha Industries unrivalled in it's construction and whatnot?
http://www.alphaindustries.com/Mens-Casual-Outerwear/Alpha-Industries-Hawk.asp I really like this, but I want to be sure it's worth it, you know, I'm running into a bit of money soon that I am happy to spend, but only if I can sleep at night knowing I spent it well.

>>3387468 I think it's very good quality for the price. You should check RetailMeNot and see if there's a coupon. I got a N-2B for dirt cheap at their last sale.

>>3387478 Generally a good rule of thumb for lightweight jackets is to think of them as workman's gear. So bombers, harringtons, mechanic, oil, military, and riding jackets are all good takes. If someone would or would've done outside work in the jacket or it takes styling cues from that, it's a good take.

A slim fit letterman might work if you're not in America where people wear them in support of their school.

>>3387509 If it's a simple slim fit track jacket and you're wearing it like that you might be able to stretch it through with spring until summer comes around and you don't need it. But come fall time you should think about dropping a dime for something different.
Just don't be a retard wearing an oversized, retro track jacket.
