What makes a watch gender specific?

Is there anything identifiable about a women's watch? For example, two versions of this watch seem identical except the womens is 35mm and the men's is 45mm. I prefer the smaller size on my wrist, but would people be like LOL NICE WOMENS WATCH FAG

There's, of course, no FUNCTIONAL difference between men's and women's timepieces; it's all a matter of styling and what you like. Designers have usually favored smaller bands and more delicate details for female-oriented timepieces, but the ones you've posted are clearly just a matter of scale and not about different looks.
