So a few months ago i went to Toni&Guy and got a pretty decent cut. But it cost ~$100.

It's time for another haircut and i was debating whether to return to Toni&Guy or go to a 'normal' hairdresser and try to replicate the results.

Also everytime i walk into Toni&Guy i feel like a supreme faggot.

Any decent male hairdressers in perth, AUS?

Get a fancy cut and style at some high end place.

Take multiple multiple pictures

Go to a cheaper place to maintain it

If your haircut costs $10, it's not worth getting, you could cut your own hair with a pair of kitchen scissors and come out better than that shit.

I used to go to toni and guy in Los angeles, but now go to their academy and its $10 usd for a pretty decent cut

from experience, its not really the salon that makes the difference... its the person holding the scissors. i remember going to this high end salon, she raped my hair beyond belief, i ended up with a fucking bob and she even commented on how it didnt look 'hot' on me while cutting my hair.

I was literally scared to go the hairdressers once my hair finally grew out. I went to a 'normal' hairdresser as you put it, i paid $20 and the haircut actually turned out to be pretty good.

This person is right; I used to model for someone at House of Ernest who I was always happy with, then she moved to melbourne and I went to get a cut from someone she recommended there and it sucked. It's about forming a relationship with a hairdresser and not being afraid to tell them that they're not doing it right. It helps that if they're talented as well.

Extremely true.

Given the choice between:

>cheap but shit cut
>expensive but good cut
>cutting it oneself and receiving something acceptable

I chose the last.

Not true in the slightest. While higher end houses do try harder to keep their salon stocked with good hairdressers, plenty of very talented people work at cheaper places for social or location-related reasons.
Your best bet in the long run is to keep getting cuts from different places until you find someone who does a good job and is easy to talk to. Once you've found that they're only going to do better the more you go back.

THIS. The best stylists in my town are the smaller shops that are build into old houses.

I get a haircut that rivals Toni&Guy and my eyebrows waxed and colored (Because I have these platinum blonde eyebrows that match my skin tone perfectly) for around 30$

Same deal here, except I'm a guy. I went to one of the (supposed) best salons in my City. The guy there thinned the living shit out of my hair. It looked like a rat had chewed it.

Went back to my old hairdresser and never looked back.

Agree. If you walk into a salon and the first thing they do is ask you whether you've washed your hair in the last 24 hours - that there is your cue to leave.
