When I was in junior high, I always used to like Calvin Klein's clothing and thought it was so nice (I'm a boy, btw), but I never had any money for it.

Now that I'm just about out of college, my discretionary spending money has increased and I'm able to think about fashion for the first time in a while.

So, I guess I reverted to being 13 again and thought, "Cool. I'm going to buy some Doc Martens, which I always wanted as a kid, and buy a bunch of Calvin Klein stuff."

I guess. The Calvin Klein stuff is fine and normal, but a very far cry from the Collection stuff. Granted, not much of that is targeted towards the same audiences, but it's definitely one of those brands where you're paying a rather hefty price premium for branding rather than any particularly exceptional design or construction quality.

today all lines including underwear are licensed.

the white label shit is van huesen, and everything else is owned by the same distrobution company walmart buys from.

in short collections is what you wanted, and it goes on sale at GILT for cheap as they've fallen from grace in the early 90's, variations of just really tasteless and boring shows, bankruptcy and the shuffling of ill-equipped designers

sort of like bill blass of the 1980's
and pierre cardin in the 1970's

Only thing of CK I own besides a tie I had to pick up quickly before some dance or something two years ago. I like it though. Only been in one CK store, seemed okay clothing, nothing crazy, but nothing that good. Maybe if you went to an outlet the stuff would stand out.
