>7th grade: pale, awkward, long hair that looked like shit, went through an emo phase kinda >8th grade: pale, started using my mom's fake tanner because I was sick of being pale, thank god no one found out. Bit of acne. Still awkward but an improvement. >9th grade: Shit grades due to skipping school, still pretty pale but not as much as before, moms fake tanner was running out + it was a bitch to put on. A lot better socially, still a bit awkward but much better >10th grade: Got my hair cut short, pretty social, not awkward, got a nice real tan, facial features turned out fucking amazing. Gorgeous, rate myself a 9/10, got called a pretty boy by a few guys sometimes, girls try to get with me, jack off to myself in the mirror once. BUT WAIT, acne comes. Fuck. I finally got my shit together and acne comes now? It's ruining my fucking grades because i've been skipping school because of it. I have pretty low confidence at the moment because of my acne. It's moderate, not cystic thank god. I'm on medication that the dermatologist prescribed me but it's been over a month and it isn't really working. Does /fa/ have any tips for acne?

I don't have very bad acne, but i do have a couple bumps that show up during the week. Within the past few weeks I have been drinking a shitton of water and I swear, I have been clear since. Seriously just drink a lot of water. Also, try to avoid sweets and jacking off. Good Luck

acne.org this website has solved all my acne problems. i don't follow the program to a "T" anymore because ive kind of devised my own (daily face wash 2x a day and i get 15-30 minutes of sun 2-3 times a week. acne is 100% gone) but it works super well too.

>>3391783 Theres no evidence that jacking off helps with or causes acne so idk about that. I drink a lot of water but I got a few more pimples yesterday due to not drinking any in 2 days because I ran out. I bought more though.

>>3391788 Ok then, keep jacking off if you want to then bro.
Also,
>ran out of water How?

>>3391787 Oh that benzoyl peroxide regimen? I'm not going to try it, going to give my current regimen of minocycline, differin and a 5% BP wash another month to work. If not I'm going to try accutane. My mom is being retarded though and is saying not to get on it due to the side effects but she doesn't know anything about it, just the shit on TV she hears.
Anonymous
>>3391789 I just drink bottled water. Though when i don't have anymore left I sometimes will boil tap water, then freeze that and let it that out but it's a hassle.
Anonymous
>>3391791 i wouldnt get on accutane unless you have some seriously bad acne. those side effects are real. my brother and sister are both suffering intestinal and stomach issues now from taking it a few years ago.
the bp regimen is excellent. it takes a few weeks before you start clearing up entirely but if youre doing it right you'll have great looking skin.

>>3391801 Because it's too hot to drink and it gets colder faster when i put it in the freezer compared to the fridge. I'd forget about it and it would completely freeze. Waiting for it to get cold sucks.

>>3391805 Why are you even boiling the water in the first place?

>>3391808 To get rid of the bacteria and it tastes like shit straight from the tap. This is why i buy water, it's so much easier.
Anyways I need a haircut, it's getting shaggy which is making my acne worse. I just don't want to go get one because it would be embarassing with this acne. I'm just looking worse everyday :/

Bro heres my deal I had moderate acne like you. I tried a BP regimen, washing my bedsheets, drinkings lots of water with a healthy diet and it didn't work. So I went to my dermatologist and he gave me 3 different pills to try over a period of 6 months, none of that worked. Now i'm on accutane and doing great. My acne is loads better The moral of this is that there is absolutely NO rule for treating acne. Please believe me, there is no one cure that works for every. Sometimes your acne won't just go away, sometime's listening to these /fa/ggots will drive it away. Just finds what works for you and roll with it. If thats accutane, evaluate if youre willing to take those risks For the record, diet has been scientifically proven (by science!!!) to have no affect on acne, so don't listen to that. You will hear ALOT of bullshit about acne on 4chan

It worked magic, and i didn't kill myself.
It might have fucked with my liver, but maybe thats the drinking.

>>3391814 Oh and let me add, Accutane WILL work. No question. 100% success rate, but it might take 2 courses. but there are some harsh side effects. Right now im experiencing HELLA HELLA HELLA dried lips and moderate back pain

>>3391811 >To get rid of the bacteria You're a fucking idiot. Unless you live in a third world country, there's no more bacteria in your tap water than there is in bottled water. In fact, there might even be less.
http://www.nrdc.org/water/drinking/bw/exesum.asp >City tap water can have no confirmed E. coli or fecal coliform bacteria (bacteria that are indications of possible contamination by fecal matter). FDA bottled water rules include no such prohibition (a certain amount of any type of coliform bacteria is allowed in bottled water). >City tap water from surface water must be filtered and disinfected (or the water system must adopt well-defined protective measures for the source water it uses, such as control of potentially polluting activities that may affect the stream involved). In contrast, there are no federal filtration or disinfection requirements for bottled water -- the only source-water protection, filtration, or disinfection provisions for bottled water are completely delegated to state discretion, and many states have adopted no such meaningful programs. >Bottled water plants must test for coliform bacteria just once a week; big-city tap water must be tested 100 or more times a month. >Repeated high levels of bacteria (i.e., "heterotrophic-plate-count" bacteria) in tap water combined with a lack of disinfectant can trigger a violation for cities -- but not for water bottlers. >Most cities using surface water have had to test for Cryptosporidium or Giardia, two common water pathogens that can cause diarrhea and other intestinal problems (or more serious problems in vulnerable people), yet bottled water companies don't have to do this. >City tap water must meet standards for certain important toxic or cancer-causing chemicals such as phthalate (a chemical that can leach from plastic, including plastic bottles); some in the industry persuaded FDA to exempt bottled water from regulations regarding these chemicals.
Quoted By:
>>3391832 And just in case that's not enough for you, here's the rest of it, which wouldn't fit into one post:
>Any violation of tap-water standards is grounds for enforcement -- but bottled water in violation of standards can still be sold if it is labeled as "containing excessive chemicals" or "excessive bacteria" (unless FDA finds it "adulterated," a term not specifically defined). >Cities generally must test at least once a quarter for many chemical contaminants. Water bottlers generally must test only annually. >Cities must have their water tested by government-certified labs; such certified testing is not required for bottlers. >Tap water test results and notices of violations must be reported to state or federal officials. There is no mandatory reporting for water bottlers. >City water system operators must be certified and trained to ensure that they know how to safely treat and deliver water -- not so for bottlers. >City water systems must issue annual "right-to-know" reports telling consumers what is in their water; as detailed in this report, bottlers successfully killed such a requirement for bottled water. >>3391865 >Why would I? Because quite frankly, you sound like a spoiled, arrogant, self-centered, weak-willed cunt. You quit going to school once you stop looking beautiful, and you stop drinking water when you run out of the kind that you like. For fuck's sake, do you quit everything when it gets difficult? You seem like the sort of person who would kill himself if he ever experienced any sort of real hardship. I can only hope that your current affliction will give you some humility and determination.
