tips and general info about cuffing raw denim?

I just purchased my first pair of N&F and I'm worried about wrecking the cuffs, they're just long enough to skim the floor when I don't have shoes on.
is cuffing denim just a personal preference and you just do whatever you want or are there guidelines at all?

They're cut long so you can do what you want with them.
If they don't stack nicely I'd cuff them or get them shortened at a tailor.

Hem them if they are too long.
Cuffing says you aren't handy enough to hem pants, or too poor to get it done by a tailor.

From what I gather on /fa/, cuffing is looked down upon unless you're really trying to show off your shoes and socks.
this isn't the case for me, my cuffs hang down to my heels , the reason that I cuff them is honestly because where I live right now nobody else does because everybody wears either cheap or over-elaborately faded and torn jeans with frills and shit.
I guess I'm trying to make some sort of statement with clean cut jeans and show off the fact that they're selvedge.

am I a faggot for doing this?
If I lived in like NY or some other large trendy city, I'd likely get them tailored properly to fit, I had the opportunity to get them hemmed for free where I bought them but declined because I had this in mind already.

if you're worried about being a d bag, trust me nobody looks at your cuff outseam to determine if you're wearing selvedge jeans or not.

nobody judges you based on your cuff, the little line on your jeans or even the brand of your jeans outside of asians on the internet

Horrid. IF you cuff, it shouldn't be more than an inch. Any decent tailor can shorten them with the hem intact. Get used to tailoring you jeans if you plan on spending any significant amount on them.
